Hi all, I am new to this forum and just got my first boat. It's a MF 755 2013 model with a bit of extra kit. One quick question you knowledgeable and experienced owners - I noticed that I can lift and trim down the outboard engine even if my main power switch under the aft deck is off. Is this a sign that something is not connected right? Thanks for letting me join the forum, been great to read through some of the old posts.

Hi I have a similar boat with a Suzuki on the back and I cannot operate either tilt switches until the battery isolator is turned on. For safety and security you might want to get it changed. Good luck trying to find a competent marine electrician, let me know if you find one as my boat’s instruments are on even with the ignition switched off

Thank you for your reply alan755. I am monitoring my battery status with SmartBoat One, and I see that my consumption battery is (very slowly) decreasing. From 12.71V to 12.66V in 24 hours. This is a bit worrying since my main switches for power is turned off.. Not many other boats nearby in the marina now, so can't really believe it is "creep current" (in lack of a better word in my norwengilsh..) I will continue to monitor. Although my instruments are not on like yours when ignition and main switch is off. There was an earlier post on this issue in the forum, where the main switch and secondary was a bit "loose", needed to keep turning them right in order to tighten them. Maybe you could try that to resolve?
