Gelcoat repair recommendations

I’m getting my NC795 ready for spring and would like to fix a couple chips on my rear starboard side swim platform that I got while gassing up in some really nasty conditions at the end of last season. See the pics below. The chips are a bit smaller than a quarter. Any tips on the best way to repair the gelcoat? I’ve never dealt with gelcoat repair in the past, but am sure I can take care of it. I was thinking of picking up a gelcoat repair kit from west marine (https://www.westmarine.com/buy/evercoat--match-n-patch-gelcoat-repair-kit--1934454?recordNum=2). Anyone have experience with this kit, or recommend a better one? And will the kit contain enough to repair both of these? Thanks!

Contact Spectrum Color. They should have the proper color match and get their repair gelcoat patch kit. We have a 2008 SO42DS sailboat and for that boat ist is Spectrum's Gelcoat F506333Q B#1524-CCP Beneteau Pure White.

Getting a good colour match as said , is a good thing. Having not the experience of previously repaired grp and gel coat I would get a small tin of white gel coat filler repair, find a bit of scrap grp or a nice bit of wood, ruin it with a screwdriver, and then have a go at a repair. It's not that difficult, but getting flawless results does take practice , and not practicing on your boat will give you a head start for when you do. google it, watch the youtube vids and have a go.
