Hi. First post. Just joined. Need some advice please. I am a new 1095 owner. Have owned 2 boats previously so used to refuelling. I’m finding the 1095 awkward with issues of fuel spillage from ‘blow back’. I’ve tried filling VERY slowly but irritating with 400 l tanks. Am I missing a trick or is this common?
Otherwise I am LOVING my boat
thanks

This is a common problem with the fill ports of the nc1095. I have a 2019 model, and the dealership had to replace both fill ports, so the fuel inlet gases are vented directly out of the fill port. (not the little vent above the gas cap) I hope this make sense. Tell your dealership about the problem. I'm sure they've had to deal with this issue....it's a common problem, and covered under warranty. Otherwise, congrats....it's a GREAT boat!

At the time I thought I might not have been paying attention and not had the fuel nozel in properly. I’ll raise with my dealer and see what they say. Regards Carl

Update. Problem removed by dealer. Something to do with a regulator valve for European regulation which has now been removed under warranty. It was the posts on this board that alerted me to the fact that it wasn’t my technique.
Haven’t filled yet but dealer discussed with Jeanneau and identified the issue.
Hopefully no more gasoline showers. I’ll let you know.
thanks again for the input. So helpful

I'm very glad to hear you found a solution for this problem. This past summer, I helped deliver an Albin 36 trawler through the Great Lakes, and it had this problem in spades. I filled the two tanks, more than a hundred gallons of diesel each. The first kicked back repeatedly, and we probably spilled a pint of fuel into the canal. I reduced the flow for the second tank, and it took about 30 minutes to fill. But it only kicked back once, and I managed to catch the spill with a handful of paper towels.
I'm so glad this never happens on my sailboat. It shouldn't happen to anyone.
