Hi, I start this new tread because I am hoping to get some feedback from those who have changed prop on TWIN APPLICATIONS, I put emphasis on twin vs single, because the pitch and diameter effect and different and you can not compare result from them. On a 2021 895Sport_gen powered by twin Verado_V8_250hp_ gear ratio 1.85 I got on test 48~51 MPH at 6010RPM with Vengeance 14.5x17. Verado were outstanding but feel to struggle a bit to maintain 25mph at around 3600rpm, the boat starts to wake up past 4000 at 29mph, awesome acceleration until 6000rpm. Vengeance prop are an entry level and general purpose, very good for WOT but not for cruising efficiency, a lot of slip, Eco inertia are design for big fat baby such as 895sport to improve efficiency by lowering rpm at cruising speed, less slip du to the bigger diameter. V8 Verado has the torque to turn large prop diameter. A lot of theories go on diameter effect , like 1" in diameter = 2.5" pitch.....but Eco Inertia in X7 are thinner so it changes things....there are some tests on the web, but none challenging Vengeance to Eco Inertia on a twin application.
