Guys, Does anybody know how NC 695 bow thruster battery gets charged from the motor? I have 110 V shore power wiring and the battery charger has 3 outputs. My guess is that one of them is for the bow thruster, but when the shore power is disconnected, how the battery charges? Does anybody have good electrical drawings? The owner manual electrical schematics are very poor. Thanks,

NC975_Wiring.pdf (48.48 KB) The factory does not connect the 110v battery charger to the bow thruster battery. They are relying on the ACR to pass a charge from the house to the thruster battery. This is problematic because the negative side of the ACR is connected to the relay used to turn the thruster system on and off. So the only time it will charge is when the thruster system is energized. There is a green light on the ACR when it's active. As part of the warranty work done by Sundance, the negative wire was moved to the thruster battery. The ACR should now charge the battery regardless of the thruster being energized or not.

Thank you! I found that I have a red wire connected to the thruster battery. I have to verify that it is the one that gets out of the changer. What do you think about the time when the motor is running and the 110v shore power is disconnected. Does the battery gets charged?

It will only get charged if you have the bow thruster energized, i.e. pressing the power button on the helm. I will take a picture of the wire that needs to be moved to allow charging without energizing the system.

Dealer tech moved the yellow wire from the relays to the battery. Now the ACR will work even if the bow thruster system is not energized. The system energizes when you press the button on the helm. It de-energizes when it hasn't been used in a while, it's that beeping you hear. The "green" light on the ACR means its passing a charge from the house battery circuit to the bow thruster battery.
