Hi folks, can anyone advise what the varnish type is for the interior finish on a SO 439 from 2012? I know the ply facing is a proprietary teak finish, but I’m talking about the varnish on the hardwood trim. Looks like a stained varnish type?
cheers

Ohana, I had/have chips in the varnish on the hardwood trim of my 2012 So36i. I did touch ups with teak colour one pot urethane varnish and it matched very well. It was just what was available at the local hardware store. The varnish looks very dark in the tin but did match well. The way the varnish chips suggests that it would be easy to sand down and redo each bit when it gets bad enough, but that is a few years away yet.

Also on the subject of varnish. I need to sort out my cabin sole... fill a few dents and cover a few scratches - Has anyone any recommendations for a suitable varnish

2010 50 DS
I have the same question. My cabin sole has a lot of water marks (dis-coloring with white spots) beneath the plastic varnish. Does anyone know what the surface is faced with or what product I should use after sanding out the marks?
