Hi all. I would have thought that getting paint or gel coat colour codes would be easy but not so.
In the middle of a repair of cockpit sole and will likely paint rather than gel coat. However I would like to try and match the original color.
The deck is not the same color as the hull. It seems to be oyster or light beige. I can ask a paint shop to try and make the match but does anyone have info on paint or gel code colour codes for this era of boats?
Thanks Costa

Well unfortunately a request to Jeanneau fell through. They stated, “We are sorry to inform you that we don't have the Ral reference of the gel coat. We had an internal reference but are not able to match it to a Ral colour.”
So I asked for their internal code in case someone has the translation to paint code but I doubt i’ll Get anywhere. We’ll see.
In the meantime if anyone out there has done past work on similar colored boats and can share paint codes that would be great. Getting closer to paint time.
Thanks Costa

I may be wrong, but paint colors back then may or may not have had an RAL number like todays paints of all types and brands. Once can generally speaking, get brand X paints funky Pink, from brand Y if that is all that is available to you!
I have the same issue as you with my 85 Arcadia. A white hull, and what I would describe as Oyster or a yellowish tan deck. Even at that, my deck color may really be a different color than I am describing.

Hi Marty
Well then, stay tuned because i will have to try and match. i did get my hands on an awlgrip color card and
looks like chalky white is a close match. next step is to go to a paint shop and see if they can scan it for me and provide a paint reference code.
