Hi Malcolm Thanks for the offer of contact, That would be great. We are friends (and neighbours) with Nathaniel and jumped at the chance to buy Serendib as soon as we knew he was thinking of selling. She really is a lovely boat and suits our requirements perfectly. We have a trip to Holland and France planned for spring summer next year (covid willing) and a south coast trip planned for the autumn. I don’t want to wish the rest of the year away but can’t wait to get going! Regards Tess. Hi Tess I have sent you a message on this forum with my contact info. Very pleased you have plans already for next season Malcolm

Hallo allemaal, We are new members to this forum. We already found lots of info on this forum the last few years, so it’s about time. In 2017 we bought a 2003 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 43ds in Crete and did some sailing in Greece. Last year we sailed her from Crete to the Netherlands for a refit. After the refit (and COVID) we will set sail to first the Caribbean and who knows where she’ll bring us next...
Best regards,
Jake

Do keep us all updated on your future voyages

Many thanks for welcoming me to the Jeanneau Family. Our boat is and NC 895 and has been ordered. We are awaiting its arrival within the next two weeks!
Would anyone be kind enough to tell me how you think the quality of your 895 has held up and if there are any manufacturing flaws or concerns with quality, craftsmanship and durability? Any problems with hardware rusting and staining? We saw a boat that only had four months in the water and had displayed rust on hardware and rust stains on the boat. I hope it was just a fluke and it is not the norm. Any insight, comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks!!!

You would be best to create a new thread to ask views about workmanship etc. Also worth trying a search too. Best wishes.

Jeanneau Model: 2012 Sun Odyssey 439

Hello, new member here. I'm not currently a Jeanneau owner, but I just signed the contract for the purchase of a 2012 Sun Odyssey 439. So if the survey and sea trial go well, I should become an owner in the next week Really excited, she's been a charter boat so far but she looked in good shape and hope I'll keep her for many years to come. Have quite a list of modifications I want to make too, and hope the forum can provide assistance and best practices on how to do them properly.

Hi Everyone, I just found this forum as I'm close to purchasing a 2011 SO49i and are keen to find any feedback on the early model of 'dock and go' installed on the boat. I note that all posts I can see are from 2019 and earlier so not sure if this Forum is still active?

The forum is alive and well 😁 guess it must have been the search you were doing to only get 2019 posts. You need to start a new thread to ask about the dock and go, but not quite sure what you mean by that? Is that the 360 ZF saildrive? I thought that was much more recent than 2011. here is a search to hopefully help you. www.jeanneau-owners.com/searchlinks.html#gsc.tab=0&gsc.q=ZF%20saildrive&gsc.sort=

Hi Malcolm, I have just seen your_ Attachment Deleted note in one of your posts to add photos to the Jeanneau owners photo gallery. I was going to do so, but see that the SO 410 is not listed yet. Not sure how to do this or is something you have to do? Chris

Hi Chris Sorry, didn't realise that I had not kept up to date with the photo gallery. Excellent that you have promoted me, I will review and add all the new models to the galley index page during this week. But I have now uploaded you photo in a new SO410 page: photos.app.goo.gl/VkcoomwWpc5ccwEt8Do add more if possible Thanks Malcolm

Hello,
I just purchased a Leader 9.0 CC this past August. Love it so far. I live just north of Atlanta, Ga USA. This is my first time on this forum. Hoping learn much from more experienced owners.
I am still learning the systems and getting up to speed with everything. I still haven't started the generator, A/c, or propane stove. But I have pulled the kid around the lake tubing and wakeboarding. Lots of fun.

But I'm not putting Kraken to sleep yet. Our winters are usually not to sever. So we will still be able to spend time on the water. I see lots of fishing in our future.

Thank you for accepting me in this Jeanneau society! In order to introduce myself: 47 y.o. oil tanker Captain and Mooring Master, living in Odessa, Ukraine. First time test yachting in 2018 on chartered Jeanneau 53 in Greece, and can't stop it now)) Did my training and obtained RYA Day Skipper license same year. After tried different models and brands (Bavaria, Elan, Beneteau) my heart stick to Jeanneau DS models. The most inspiring for me is 49 DS (2005-2007) which looks to me like real sailing boat, with solid wood furniture and nice looking deck saloon. Hope to be a full-fledged member with own boat in season 2021 (weather and Covid allow). I have a question for distinguished members of Jeanneau forum: Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 49 DS 2006 built, have been in charter business all those years, with 6200 running hours on engine, all teak require replacement, otherwise the boat look well maintained, asking price 100,000 euro, worth buying for private use?

Hi Vado Welcome to our forum. Sounds like you are approaching yacht ownership the correct way. the SO49DS is a lovely boat. Sure you will get replies from the several people here with knowledge of the boat and also of the issues around buying ex-charter. Suggest though you make a specific new thread for this , as replies will get rather lost in this Welcome section jeanneau.proboards.com/thread/2483/make-first-postMalcolm

Hi all, I'm a new member in this forum - thank you accepting me! Was around motor boats throughout all my childhood (in Finland), but purchased my first own one just 7 years ago (Occelbo C20). That become too small for us, so I sold it, and ordered the new MF795 s2. If everything goes as planned (this has been such a challenging year that you'll never know) we shouyld get it in April-May. Can't hardly wait :-) Cheers, Jussi
