Merry Fisher 795 Retro fitting of anchor windlass

Hello all
Has anybody experience of retrofitting a windlass? I have obtained the Jeanneau plinth that the windlass is mounted on but my concern is how to secure the plinth to the boat. It seems to sit on apparently hollow GRP mouldings so a normal nut and bolt fastening seems impossible. I am wondering if a cavity fixing of some sort would do the job?
The only other concern is whether I can run cables from the anchor well to the bowthruster area without removing the internal bulkhead, or part of it.
Any advice would be much appreciated!
