Hi all I thought the following might be of interest...... SWMBO came up with the following idea.....She was right!! As I have had a bimini/cockpit tent put on the boat, I cannot sit and use the normal foot rest. I have had some pieces of teak screwed into the cockpit floor. Now I can sit on the wooden seat and rest my feet against them, as the boat heals over. They are not so big as to become a "trip hazard". They also look as if they came with the boat. Good luck. Geoff.

Hi Geoff, The local Jeanneau agent puts together a package they think makes the boat more usable for low cost. As part of the package they add things that so far I have taken for granted even though they do mention it at the time of the boat show. ;D ;D We don't have teak floors but they have put a length of teak very near where you put yours. They have also put it up the centre of the cockpit so when the yacht leans over your feet have something to push against. I have added a couple of pictures to show what they fitted before delivery. Incidentally, it was with some surprise that we saw you had the same Navpod as we selected. We agonised over the size of that Navpod and if it would be ok. We should have just looked more closely at your boat to gain our reassurance. Kind regards, Trevor

What size teak strips did you use?
No tripping? I was thinking about angling the strips, larger size maybe cut on a diagonal.... too complex?

Hello Renegade27,
I did not fit my teak strips but they would be about 25mm high and about 19mm wide. Although like you I would have thought they may have provided a trip hazard, they haven't caused any problem at all. They are very handy when the yacht is healing to push against.
I hope this helps,
Trevor

Hi We are thinking about adding something like this to our 36i. Are the strips through bolted or screwed on from under the cockpit.
cheers offshore

Hello Offshore,
I think they are simply screwed into the floor. Just use some sealant around the screws and screw then down. They are a very handy little addition in my view.

Trevor
