The web is full of complaints and I have seen plenty about boat suppliers. Being about to go to Australia for a couple of months to avoid the Tasmanian winter, I contacted the Australian distributors for Yanmar to find the size of spline socket I need if I need to do a clutch lapping on Xantia's SD50 gearbox. It took a week or so but I got a reply email giving me the outside diameter of the spline. Now I can look for the right socket. On the same note it suddenly occurred to me that the spline fits into a sleeve which comes out of the gearbox easily and I can get a good grip on the sleeve with my chain wrench, without any damage, so I probably don't need a socket anyway. Don't boats give you a lot to ponder?
Cheers, Ian

Sorry I know this is years later, but thanks for posting something positive. Especially these days. James
