Hi 34.2 S.O owners?
Anybody out there who can give me a description for extra freshwater tank installation. I think the original mounted one has limited capacity for longer trips without refill capabilities.

Hi Terje
Jeanneau offered a second tanks as an option. I retrofitted one of these a couple of years ago on our SO34.2. They might still be available from the factory if you check with your dealer,
The second tank fits under the forecabin bunk. It takes up effectively the whole of the aft most section, IE the "front" of the bed, so you loose that storage. I guess it is placed there as any further forward would be really bad for boat trim.
Installation was relatively simple, a deck filler is installed on the side deck above the starboard hanging locker then the pipe is hidden within the locker. An air vent pipe is needed, Jeanneau suggest that this is taken through to the anchor locker, but after discussing with Keith M, I decided to fit it in the hanging locker and put a small vent (same type as the original tank vent) just under the toe-rail
You then need to install some tank valves under the galley sink to be able to switch between the fore and aft tanks as required. The OEM second tank came complete with all the valves and fixings for the whole installation and also included electric contacts to install to act as level gauge, but as this required drilling quite a few holes in the tank itself, I decided against this and simply use the main tank as the primary supply, when that runs out I switch to the forward tank and then make sure I fill up within a day or so. Overall it works very well and reduces the concern of running out of water
I will be able to take some pictures if you want, but it will 3 weeks or so before I will have chance to do that

Could I possibly be so bold as to ask if you could send the pictures to myself as well. Same problem with the boat on the west coast of Scotland where refilling opportunities are limited.
