In boat maintenance mode and just replaced the joker valve on the jabsco heads - last time I did this was 3 years ago. On the 39i at least the pipework is very tight and to ensure it all is leak free on reassembly. it is critical that the screws are only tightened when the parts are properly aligned which is difficult when the 2" pipe doesn't want to help. After struggling for 20 mins I remembered how I did it last time...
The trick is to also unbolt the 4 main coach-bolt screws that secure the whole WC to the heads floor. This allows the movement to get all the hoses and plastic parts properly aligned and connected, then bolt down after you have tested for leaks etc

I vaguely recall doing something similar except I removed the pump from the base, minted the hoses and then mounted it on the base. Or something like that
