About 6 weeks ago I mentioned a Siphon Tube I had purchased in France. Today I used the tube. It took about 2 minutes to empty a 10ltr can of diesel and no mess. You need a bucket to collect the last drops from the tube. We did this in a marina but can see that it would be quite easy to use at sea. Ian

We have two of these tubes. Easy & no mess. We use one for water and one for diesel...in bags appropriately marked in large bold letters. Great & simple to store!

I have a siphon tube with pump like on an outboard motor, just a few squeezes and it's off, any case it doesn't matter how they work, all I know it beats pouring cans with a funnel. ab

I have used my siphon tube offshore forgive or six years in ocean swells with no drips or problems when adding five gallons of diesel from Plastic containers. The tube has a brass or bronze fitting with a ball bearing that starts the process when you move it up and down from to top of the container. It takes me several minutes to transfer the five gallons into the tank. I then put both ends into a plastic ziplock with a paper towel inside and then wrap the bag with a zip tie and store it in the locker.
