As others have commented in these pages, my head mirror detached yesterday on my 2007 39DS. Fortunate for me I was opening the cabinet with the wood panel and mirror in my hands when it let loose.

Thanks, your posting reminded me to put stainless steel clips on before this happens!

Mine too at the end of last season. Glue had hardened over the years - 2007 45DS. Now looking for mirror clips in Spain. Ian

Head Mirror fix-I hope. I got a 4 foot piece of J-channel (aluminum piece bent like the letter J) from hardware store and some double sided mastic tape from my local glass/mirror shop. The J-channel holds the bottom edge of the mirror and I used the mastic on sides and top of mirror to adhere to the panel backing. Hopefully this will be a long term fix.

Fitted one of these to each of the corners about 5 years ago and no issues. Attachment Deleted

I too have had an issue with the head mirror on the 50DS. It didn't slip, but became badly discolored on the edges. It was very difficult removing same because of the glue used. Finally had to break the mirror into small pieces to remove. I had a new plastic mirror made and used very attractive clips: CRL (C. R .Laurence) Mirror Clip set @ $10.75. These were purchased in the US from Shower Door Direct. Dimensions: 3/4" (19mm) Diameter for 1/4" (6mm) mirror. Can be seen at www.showerdoordirect.com

You do not need to break the mirror just use old wire from the throttle handle or something similar, put behind the mirror and drag with two hands and until you cut the adhesive
