Hi Folks, It me and my old Sun Fast again ;-) After having fixed up pretty much of all the electronics incl. a new alternator and shore power assy, all new mast lights, antenna with wiring, etc, my focus is now on the shower mixing tap of the heads compartment. Though its working still OK (at least as what I could test during sea trial prior buying last year) the assembly, consisting of a detached mixing tap and the moveable shower handle looks not so pretty anymore (blooming metal and dull surfac beyond polishability). Who can tell me about the original manufacturer or suitable alternatives that might fit into the existing holes. Living in Germany I have been through various hardware stores already and the arrangement of having the mixer in a different location than the shower handle is almost impossible to find, and if so, they charge you the price of a ticket to the moon. Alternatively I wonder if it makes sense to dismount the whole thing and give it to a shop to clean and have it re-plated with chrome. (Does that wor at all???) Pleased to hear and happy Easter, Michael

Michael This may be of no use, but here goes anyway. The faucets on the 39i are Nobili (Italian). The shower mixer tap is separate to the handset. In North America, all of the premium domestic faucet makers guarantee their equipment for life. I left the fresh water system pressurized last winter (pump off but taps closed). It froze. Oops. And subsequently leaked. The local stockist provided the Nobili mixer cartridge free of charge. Took a bit of effort to trace the origin of the faucet and the local distributor. best NornaJ

We don't have the same model of Jeanneau, but when looking to replace our mixers on our SO40, we opted to fit the Scandvik #10871 unit in both heads. We have a wooden fitting in the other hole that the plug fits on top of. Looks nice, although the admiral isn't so keen (she'd prefer to have the hole completely filled and colored so you can't see it. I'm happy with the plug holder). www.scandvik.com/index.cfm/method/Shopping_Products/CatId/13/ID/77.htmCheers, PT

Hi Nornaj and touchngo,
Thanks a lot for your input! I have checked both your options but the problem seems to be that
A) Nobili is (if accessible in Germany at all) quite expensive. B) Also fitting a Standard single unit and fixing up the hole is not really the option I was looking for (Although also a nice idea, since it could be used to fit e.g. a liquid soap dispenser).
Ideally I would try to retrofit the original fitting again, just to make sure evereything fits neatly.
Greets and a sunny season,
Michael

Hi Fellows!
Is there really no one out there with a glimpse of the idea as to the OEM for the taps? Looking at pics of other, more modern Jeanneaus it seems that this model is possibly still being used today.
Pleased for comments,
Michael

Hi Michael, I suggest you contact Clark and Carter in the UK at www.jeanneauspares.com/. I have found them extremely helpful in getting custom Jeanneau bits ands pieces at reasonable prices. The pic of your shower head looks the same as the one on my boat.

Thanks for the hint,
I just dropped them a line. Let's see what comes out (Hope orig. spares are not so expensive...)
Cheers, Michael
