Does anyone have any experience with a Speedseal impeller? I particularly like the quick release for inspection of the impeller because of its ridiculous location. Thanks.

I used the Speedseal impellers on the 43DS and 49DS and loved it. The quick release made changes much easier than the normal screws and the system greatly increased replacement intervals.

We're you able to install yourself or should it be done professionally. Thanks.

The actual impeller housing is not changed, just the cover. Thus it is "a piece of cake" to exchange the original cover and O-ring with the new one. Getting the impeller seated correctly takes longer than the Speedseal change.
If they made a Speedseal for my current Jeanneau engine (VW 140-5) I'd switch in a heartbeat. I'd also like to change the impeller for my generator, as that seems to fail regularly.

Very helpful and thanks! Maybe Jeanneau will use it on the Volvo engine for the subsequent 57's. Rather have the VW.

Yes good product, well amde and fool-proof. They now make a run-dry one which I have not used but looks worth fitting

We had the original Speedseal kit on the Catalina 320 and added the LIFE version on our present boat. Make inspecting and changing the impeller a lot faster. Whatever your engine, Speedseal will know what your pump is and have the right unit for you. Cheap investment
