The yard used a needle jet to clean the hull and went overboard. Virtually all of the antifoul was blasted off and they managed to cut through the stripes above the waterline. I'm going to clean the hull and apply primer before putting on antifoul again. However, I don't want to replace all of the stripes as it will be quite tricky.
I've asked the yard to see if they can get hold of something to repair the stripes.
I think that there are 2 thick stripes above the waterline and they must be each approx. 26-28m in length. I'm guessing that they are 75mm wide.
Has anyone else bought material to replace sections of these decals? If so, where did you purchase the vinyl rolls? I can see 75mm x 40m rolls online but don't know how to ensure a good colour match.
PS I know that the yard should pay. However, it's Spain and I'd like to have a plan "B" in case there are problems (e.g. Just doing nothing until it's time for me to launch and leave).

Just had to replace a part of the thick stripe, 73mm wide, on my SO 40. It was easy to get the damaged section off with the aid of a scraper and hair drier. I managed to get a local vinyle sign maker to match the colour and cut a replacement piece. The colour was Navy and was cut from sheets made by a firm called ' Image Perfect '. As I only wanted a short piece, 1.5m long, I did not enquire about a roll. My sign maker was Atlas Graphics ( South West) in Plymouth. They might be able to advise on where you can get rolls of the stuff. Hope this helps.

I got replacement decals a few years ago from a Jeanneau dealer. I was able order any length I wanted.

Thanks, I managed to find a very old reference to a Jeanneau part for 75mm blue vinyl decals. The old price indicated that it would be 2-3 times the price of vinyl tape online. I try to avoid buying spares from Jeanneau now, having previously paid £120 and £18 for items worth £30 and £5 respectively.
I might have to order from Jeanneau if I can't find any way to buy the correct colour of 75mm vinyl tape online.
