On the Jeanneau Owners facebook group page www.facebook.com/groups/jeanneauowners/ an Architect with a SO43DS has sketched the following design for a hard-top dodger/sprayhood. Looks pretty good to me. I do like to drop our own sprayhood, when entering leaving harbours as the plastic window are far from ideal - always quite liked the Scandinavian style glass windows

Looking at the dimensions of this hard top, it will be very much "in your face".
Besides the windage effect, Jeanneau´s are not heavy boats like Oysters, Contest or HR´s. The sheer weight of this bus stop on your roof, means you will be lacking somewhere in the region of 250+ kgs on your keel.

It looks like he may also have included an arch in the design. My fabric dodger is not quite this high, but I sometimes think it would look better if it were lower. It was very much appreciated coming out Strangford(sp?) Loch one time, though, when we made like a submarine...

As said, this will make it a bit more top heavy. Worst if the person has a shoal vs deep keel.
The other if my eye is seeing correctly, is that the top is high enough, so the boom will not sit level to the deck. So pointing the boom will need a topping lift holding the view end up, making for a very badly shaped main. Or one will have to cut a triangle out of the foot, loose sail area etc.
While I can see an advantage to this, I also see enough disadvantage that I would do a slight redesign etc.
This is also coming from a racer who does not like Dodgers, unless they can be remove in 4 secs, with 4 pins!
