349 doesn't have a sink splash guard... wondering if 379 splash guard would fit on 349. Could a 379 owner post a pic of their kitchen sink/counter? Attached is 349 kitchen sink/counter pic. Thanks.

Hello 349, The 379 splashboard is 99 1/2m long. It is anchored by a pair of brackets which have a single point bolt which goes through the countertop. These are 23 1/2 cm from the outboard ends of the glass - centreline. The bolt holes are 2 1/2cm inboard of the inside counter molding. The forward edge of the plumbing fixture is 4 1/2cm inside the counter moulding. The glass rides 1cm above the height of the molding and is inboard enough that any splashes will drip on the counter; not down the back of the settee. The bolt holes are located to just miss the fridge box and the sliding drawer on the opposite side - hence accessible under the sink. Looking at your photo, it appears that your plumbing fixture is mounted much closer to the back counter molding than on the 379 - I suspect it will no fit. Do not despair - a custom bit of stainless designed to bolt through the vertical panel at the back of the settee should work and I would have a 1 cm thick piece of polycarbonate to act as the shield. It is a very useful feature and worth pursuing - good luck. Jim

Hi j349er, Before adding a Jeanneau glass splash back check out some of the threads about exploding splash backs. I added an acrylic plastic splash back to my SO36i which was supplied without a splash back. See the thread jeanneau.proboards.com/thread/2272/exploding-galley-splash-back-so35 for details. Nearly three years down the track and it is still fine.

Perhaps the reason some boats don't have them is they are in just the right place for a grab handle, which clearly doesnt work out. There isn't one on my SF, are you sure you want one?
