I have been offered a 20", 3 bladed Featherstream prop by Darglow at what looks like a reasonable price. Does anyone have any experience they could share about Featherstream? This would be on our 45DS. Thanks, Ian

I have a Featherstream on my 36i. Gives plenty of thrust forward and astern though there is noticeable prop walk astern - it's the only prop I've used on the boat so cannot compare it to other configurations. You MUST grease it annually, as I found out to my cost when I left it for 18 months and had a heart stopping moment without reverse thrust on the day the boat was due to be lifted out. Mine has been fitted for 6 years and is in good order - currently on its third anode, which are a bit pricey, as is the proprietary grease, at £45 for 250g of zinc, though well engineered. Darglow offer efficient after sales service.

Yes, though if that was all I needed to do I'd dry out on a wall over a tide.
