Hello everybody, new on the forum and from Québec... So please understand that my writing is not very good.
i just bought a Jeanneau SO 52.2 1999 in Martinique, sail her up to St-Maarten and presently on the hard until january and then back on the boat for six months retirement, back six months working... And so on...
I need your help because i want a davits to be build that will also receive the solar panels, do you have companys to suggest? Do not have to be in St-Maarten, at least in the Carribean.
also i tried to found (no success) drawings or specs for the boat to help me design à davits, if you have any clues to help me!
regards everybody!
Dany

While Kato davits from the USA have a good reputation, there are better alternatives if your boat is already in St. Martin that reduce costs.
The premiere manufacturer for davits in St. Martin is FKG, next to Lagoonies in the lagoon. If you know what you want done, then I would highly recommend Havin's Enterprises for steel and aluminum work. He built an incredible windgenerator mount for me on my last boat, and he's a fast and efficient (and ex-FKG). His offices/factory are just a little walk from Lagoonies or Budget (walk up the road towards Ace Hardware, he's on the left-hand side after about 200 meters on that road). There is no better place than St. Martin for work like that (my personal opinion).

You could get a quote from Kato, shipping to St. Martin from Florida uses containers from Tropical Shipping and that isn't very expensive; but I don't know if Kato will be less expensive. Havin has a website now - havinsmarine.com/
