Dear Chrisj, i have a 42DS and even if now I do not remember the brand name of my AC, I can tell you that you will need 2 machines, in my boat one is for the front cabin and the saloon and the other one is for the AFT cabin.
one o the machines is located under the saloon sofa and the other one is located in the stern locker.
later I will try to find the brand of my AC for you, but I guess that, depending on where you are located, you will be able to find a person able to install it. Nevertheless please, accept my advice: install 2 machines, is much more expensive but is really better.....
Another possibility that I suggest is to contact the Jeanneau local dealer, they have a big experience with your boat ( a very successful one) so they already know what to do in the best way!
Best Regards

I had 2 Climma units on my 43DS. The one in the main cabin was forward and to the starboard side under the settee, and I cannot remember where the other unit was. They were powered, when necessary, by a Fischer Panda generator in the space where the life raft compartment was.

I have two units on my 43DS. One is in the main cabin, fwd of the table, under the settee. It heats/cools the main and fwd cabins. The other compressor unit is in the bilge, just inboard of the stove/cooker. It heats/cools the aft cabin. The installer who did these removed the Jeanneau-installed drawers in the bilge area there to ,ake room for the compressor. My units are from Webasto, and are 230v 50/60 hz, because I used them in the US and in Europe. I am generally happy with them. The only thing I might change would be the location for the thermostats. I have one on the port side of the boat, just aft of the shroud tie rod, and the other one in the aft cabin on the back side of the stbd hanging locker. I don't know where else I might install them, however, to get a better temperature response.

I have an SO35 with one A/C unit, and sometimes I wish I had two because the aft cabin doesn't get cooled unless we leave the door open with a fan blowing in.
So definitely go with two units for your 43 DS.

On my 2002 SO 40, I had the broker install after market Marine Air Systems by AIRRRRR under the starboard forward salon seat with vents to the V-berth, main vent in the salon and a vent in the aft cabin. Air intake was in the salon under the table on the vertical panel of the seat housing the unit. Water intake with filter just port of the keel about midway and wired to circuit breaker and thermostat of course.
Very nice refit job and was very pleased. I believe it was 16,000 BTU and it gets plenty cold if we want it to.
