Hi I replaced my gooseneck last season, the new neck creaks when ever the booms moves. I have tried dripping oil down on to the stainless pin which is ok. Not enough oil the boom still creaks, too much oil it drips onto the deck! So I decided to do what should have been done from new! fit a grease nipple! Really easy to do, it took me less than 30 mins. First I drilled the neck: The tapped a thread into it: Then fitted an M6 straight cut stainless grease nipple: Then plugged in my grease gun and pump away!! No more creaking noise and wear! No more oil on deck! Best Regards Ian
