I went snorkeling yesterday and thought I saw a bit of rope wrapped around the propeller, but when I dove down I saw that the bead of 5200 or Sikaflex around the base of the P-Strut to the propeller shaft has come loose. I've left what remains in place, but will need to do something as I'm not planning on hauling the boat for another couple of months. My first thought is to use underwater epoxy, the kind that looks like putty and you mix the two components together by kneading them and then you can apply it underwater. Are there any other viable options?

It is a fairly common problem. Just leave it and donĀ“t start putting epoxy in, as this goes rigid. The sealant in that area is not actually sealing anyway and acts more like a filler.
Read the topic "what type of sealer should I use" for re-applying sealer once the boat is out.
