Hi
I want to clean the spray hood on my SO32 based in the UK. Does anyone have any recommendations as to preferred products and method of cleaning to get rid of the green mould and stains?
Thanks
Ken

Nothing specific re products, but take extreme care if you use a pressure washer, whilst the sunbrella should be fine, if the seam threads have had a lot of UV they may well get broken.
Personallly I would use hot soapy water and careful scrubbing with a light brush

House hold vinager will get rid of mold.
Not sure about stains. That would take some kind of soap or equal.
Bleach will remove stains too. BUT, it will also many times turn colored, or is that coloured products white! so take this with a BIG grain of salt, and try a small area before you go to crazy with a bleach product.

There are a few products that work well on spray hoods without the risk of destruction, bleach based potions are not a good idea. Patio Magic is good for hoods and teak, or you can use diluted Dettol disinfectant - both have the same active ingredient. Don't be in a hurry, apply on Saturday and leave it, by Monday all the green will have disappeared.
Another tip for spray hoods is to apply a factor 30 sunscreen to the windows it prevents them from going opaque due to UV.
Happy Christmas and fair winds in the new year

Albany fungicidal spray diluted as instructons, use in pump spray. Green mould gone in couple of days, brilliant for rest of deck and canvas.

If you can remove the canvas, we take our canvas (Sunbrella) to a coin laundromat with large capacity machines, wash them in cold water with Woolite. We do this once or twice a year with excellent results and no degradation of the water repelling properties. You can do some spot cleaning as necessary before washing. Install the canvas back on it frame wet out of the washer. DO NOT dry them in a commercial dryer.
