Does any one know how to remove the propellers from the Max Power bow thruster. I know there is an inch long S/S grub screw which comes out ok but then what? Are they made of plastic of metal? Thanks.

Thanks for that. I have the owners manual, which is identical to the down load that I have just looked at. In the Manual it makes reference to applying silicone grease to the shafts before fitting the propellers. It does not however tell you how to remove them. Last time we were out of the water I removed the grub screws but the props would not come off, is there something I am missing? Thanks.

from the manuals I have seen - dont know which bow thruster you have - it looks like you have to remove the shear pins but a call to a local service agent should provide the right info.

I had the same problem with my 10 year old VIP Max Power unit. The props eventually came off but were stuck because of all the scale and growth that had built up over the years. I had to carefully pry and tap from the next side with a dull screwdriver along the slightly exposed edge of the props.
They eventually came off but it took a lot of doing. If you can separate the tunnel it may help to soak them in a diluted muriatic acid solution for a couple hours.

Props safely removed thanks. Gentle tapping with a length of wood from the other side did the trick

I'm glad it worked. Let me know if you think of how to reinstall so they dont get that tight again. What model are you working on.
