New to us 2002 SO37. Working on getting her ready to splash in the next couple of weeks. She has been on the hard for a couple of years so we are going through everything. She is pretty dirty too. Running rigging is now all set, engine has been serviced and runs with the water intake in a bucket of water. Most systems now seem to be working.
What I am struggling with today is the bilge pump - The float switch works, the pump builds up the pressure, water fills the jabsco filter bowl (which I replaced), but I cannot for the life of me figure out where the water exits the boat - and truth be told it is not exiting the boat because after the pump has drawn in enough water to fill the hose etc it stops drawing water from the bilge - the pump is still running but no more water gets sucked up. I am guessing there is a seacock or shut off valve somewhere and I can't find it. If I knew where it discharged that might help me find it.
As I go along the port side of the boat I can locate thru hulls for "
Head salt water IN Sink drain OUT Shower pump OUT Head overboard discharge (locked) White vent high above the waterlien (holding tank ?) TWO white vents high above the waterline at the rear of the starboard side
Engine intake and galley sink drain are UNDER the boat
Thanks in anticipation

Have you considered following the hose that exits the bilge pump?

From the drawing looks like it should be far aft on the port side.

Have you considered following the hose that exits the bilge pump? Thanks for the suggestion David. I tried but it disappears behind bulkeads etc and it the same color, type and size as multiple other hoses. What I am doing is labeling the thru hulls and seacocks on the inside when I confirm their purpose - for future memory failure issues

OK, so the issue was the two disc style valves in the water pump were shot. The full rebuild kit was like $75 but I was able to find just the two valves from West Marine.
In case you need them they are a RULE part for a Jabsco pump
RULE INDUSTRIES Service Kit Valve Set, for Jabsco 37202 Series Pump Model # 109738 | Manuf. # 30005-0000
< $20
Fitted them last night and the bucket test (pump is off the boat) works great !

Yes, I had to replace those pesky disk valves too. In my case the stainless steel supports were corroded away. Replacements have been in for five years and no problems.

David
