On my 2013 33i fitted with the simrad sd10 autopilot drive motor (same as octopus drive) I have a noise developing. When going from left to right I hear a faily loud clunk. All linkages are tight as is the motor and nothing can be seen when the clunk happens other than a bit of movement in the flexible cable part. The clunk does not happen if the autopilot is not engaged.
Worrying thing is the noise is getting worse.
Anybody offer some advice before I remove the inner drive cable from the motor and get grease everywhere .

Whilst I can't advise directly, personally with a brand new boat I would firstly be going back direct to the dealer and failing that asking Simrad techies, before even touching it
Let us know how it works out

Dealer will require either the boat or the motor back in to be looked at and it's a 4 day sail!
