Hi all - I have a SO 37 and understand that a double birth should be available in the saloon (where the table fits). Does anyone have any information on how the double birth is constructed as I cannot find this in the official Jeanneau manual.

I have a 32 and while its obviously not the same model I would imagine the principle will be the same. Somewhere perhaps under the bunk cushions should be a wooden board. On mine its shaped like a point at one end and is approx 1 metre long. Its fitted on one side with shaped wooden blocks. It fits on Port side between the bench seat and the table. You should also have two shaped cushions somewhere as well that fill the space entirely giving a double berth that is a bit tight for two and a little awkward to get into. What I do if its just the wife and I is we leave it up as a lounging area to watch Tv or read etc. It did take me a while to work out what the big board was for at first. Hope this helps Rodger

Oh - this is good... I joined this forum mainly to find an answer to the same problem. And it's in the first post I find! I have an SO 34.2, and it's the same challenge. I've had the boat for two years, but have not had time to try this saloon berth. Last weekend I decided to try and find out how to convert the lounge area into a double berth - but couldn't find the solution. Seems I have to look for the wooden board. Thanks so much for the answer - wish there was some kind of drawing/figure, but I'll keep searching. Bjørn Olav S/Y Jenny Amalie

Hi Bjørn
Welcome to the forum. I used to have a 34.2 and on that one you could simply remove the 2 table uprights, then when the moveable stool was in the inboard position the table fitted across the gap - there were some wooden tapers to hold it in position. All you then need is some foam and covering to use the table as the base for the bed - the foam has to be a bit thinner to stop it being too high

I have had my boat foe 2 seasons. Have not seen any board to slot into the space under the table. If anyone has any photos then I would be grateful to see them so that I can get a board made. Thanks adam
