Hello All,
I'm moving my boat- 2000 37 Sun Odyssey to Australia (Fremantle) and the shipper needs information on the height of the boat from the pilothouse to the keel. They need the lowest possible height so they put it on a cradle. Anyone know this information??
I've contacted the designer (still waiting to hear from them) and Jeanneau (they just sent me stock information). Need your help.
I keep asking myself why I'm doing this but I love my boat!!!
Thanks guys.

Kiamaria,
The draft is 1.95 metres Waterline to sheer line is 1.334 metres according to the manual. Scaling from the image gives an estimated height from chainplate to top of traveller of 0.8 metres
Total estimated 4.084 metres.
Where in Fremantle will you keep your yacht. River side or ocean side. The bridges clearance at the mouth of the Swan river is too low for yachts and some locals have masts secured in a tabernacle which allows then to lower the mast using two spinnaker poles as an A frame.
Lots of nice clubs on the Swan if your interest is river racing and a good one on the ocean side at Fremantle if you interest is cruising. I used to race at South of Perth Yacht Club 33 years ago and still visit whenever in Perth.
Regards
David

I know it is off topic (and I should set a better example..) but just shows what a small world - I also used to race at SPYC around1982/83 in a half tonner called "Woodstock" she was quite a handful, had been designed by a local Architect, have quite a lot of memories - mostly good - including propping up the bar apres racing and on one occasion being swept off the foredeck when getting ready to set the spinnaker and the helm put in an emergency tack without letting anyone know. I am a bit more sedate now Malcolm

Malcolm, 'Tis a small world indeed. We left in 1980. Raced a unrated half tonner against the Spacesailer 27,s and Ben Lexcan designed half tonners. Gun boat in our fleet was Noel Rice's Crossbow a Spacesailer 27 with extra ballast and the biggest spinnaker I have ever seen on a 27 ft boat. David
