On our 49DS I noticed that at mid to high RPM our engine warning buzzer would sound intermittently. I also noticed that the oil pressure warning light would flash intermittently. After checking the oil pressure and the sensor I determined that the problem must be a short somewhere in the wiring harness.
The wiring harness was run along the port side of the engine leading aft to the cockpit instruments. I discovered that the wiring harness was affixed in such a manner that it was rubbing on the engine mount. The engine vibration in turn rubbed thru the harness and created a short. Six wires were parted and melted.
Just a heads up to all. Might want to check your harness and its location to all engine mounts.

What a relief that it wasn't the oil pressure of the engine but rather an instrumentation issue.

Same on a 42DS dakota1 I checked mine and it could easily rub on the metal and wear through. I also noticed a leaking exhaust elbow needing immediate attention hence the rust marks but that is another story. Attachment Deleted
