I'm in the process of buying (sea trial and survey next week) a 1984 Sunshine 36. I've been able to find very little about this boat online and would like any information you can give me, particularly about design characteristics.
Thanks,
Dan

I purchased an '84 Sunshine 36 last year and did (had done) some fairly extensive upgrade/repair work. The boat could have been used as it was, but I thought some cosmetic and other changes were in order. The boat has performed very well since. It's faster than one might think owing to its Tony Castro design. Feel free to respond with any specific questions you have.

Thanks Wahine. I bought it. Hope to take possession May 23 in Seattle. I've lots of questions. Was kevlar really used in these hulls? Are there brochures available, or anything with accurate line drawings, dimensions. I'd like to know the design details and considerations.
I'd be tickled to receive any information or thoughts you have. I haven't done any cruising for 15 years and am thrilled to get back to it. Plan to be in the San Juan islands and BC July - September.
This site or my cable ISP is slow today. Direct email may be better.
