Hello. I have lost my rudder whilst competing in the round the ( Isle of Wight) island race. It snapped off at the water line where it is drilled for the bottom bracket..Any ideas where i can purchase a new rudder would be most appreciated.

Hi
Welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear about your rudder break.
You can check if the factory might still have any stock - it is a long shot but possible - ask Warren Harvey at Sea Ventures - warren@seaventures.co.uk to check with the factory. If so I suspect it will be very expensive, but if you are claiming on insurance that might be the easiest option.
Do you still have anything left - eg pintles and upper part? If so you can probably get one fabricated - it may be marine ply,
You will of course need to get the dimensions from another Fantasia owner - maybe someone on the forum can help - let is know if it yours is a fixed keel as the c/b and bilge keel versions many have a different rudder depth and/or be swinging blade
Do keep the forum advised how you get on and please detail how you get on, no doubt others will have this issue in the future as well, so would be good to get it captured for our hints and tips section

Hello Malcomb. A new fiber glass rudder is being made by Richard Woof Marine .Castle town, Portland. Thanks for your input. All being well I should be back on the water in a few weeks.
