Hi all my name is Paul, I have a 38' 1977 gin fizz sloop, with a horizontal windlass, will this accept g-4 anchor chain, and what size,3/8" thanks paul

I believe G4 refers to a chain being high-tensile strength, not size.

Ok, is there a standard windlass chain, thats different than say a reg galvanized anchor chain??

The chain size you need will be dependant on the gypsy size on the windlass. You will need chain that is designed to go over the gypsy, the link size in some chain will not match the gypsy. The 3/8 measurement refers to the diameter of the rod used to make the link. There is some good information on anchor chain at the Rocna website www.rocna.com/kb/Chain. Hope this helps.
