hi Julian hopefully there is a picture with this first two problems with this mod are the copper feed into the bottle chamber and the drain at the base as they are not designed to unfit and refit I took a square out of the casing around the copper feed with a fen saw push through to hull to release or cut off the old compression fitting and fit a new UK standard compression fitting (there is plenty of pipe to pinch an inch off the end). The drain skin fitting in the base (if as mine) needs the rim cutting off so that you can push it through the case also done with fen saw a sharp flexible blade run around the top lip to break the seal and you should be able lift out the box If of reasonable build you can drop into and inspect quadrant etc i also added some strap eyes to the transom storage box to secure a spare propane bottle and various cans
The Mod you can only extend the aft section of the twin bottle locker I dropped mine about 5 in cut the circular base off the drain side leaving about an inch of the return as a location lip to re attach I used a soft plastic garden bucket pushed through from inside to make a former ( to get a nice tight fit slit the sides in quarters push into place and expand till tight mark and stitch together cover in cling film to obtain release ) I had to pack out the base of the bucket to get a nice fit to replace the original base on do this carefully and cling film and you can get a nice clean finish to the resin inside the chamber I secured the base to the bucket with long strips of weave and resin and when set proceeded to glass in the remainder I put on a good 6-7 inch overlap I used 4 x of mat remember to create a nice flat to accommodate the drain hose I painted the whole thing with white Damboline when finished
reassembly
gas drain cut the lip off a new skin fitting and use the nut off the old one to tighten on from inside i found some soft rubber gaskets to make the seal .
re glass the area and gell the hole taken out to release the copper feed and drill a hole large enough to pull the compression fitting through fit a large through hull deck seal inside the chamber . Jeanneau,s gas fittings are different threads to standard UK sizes so I split the original flexible hose and put a thread connection in so I now Have a propane and butane valve that will easily swap if needed
To this i have fitted a Voyager 450 cooker (see SOCAL site) as the oven on the Eno did not like the propane the big plus I now have a grill if you should go for this let me know as there is some alterations needed because of the extra depth of the cooker
also the flexible hose on the Eno was badly perished on inspection.
If I found a boat that needed nothing doing to it
I probably would,nt buy It!
