Does anyone know the size of the Cutless (cutlass) bearing for a 1984 Jeanneau Arcadia? Or where I can find out? The old bearing is a mess so it is hard to determine its size.

I just got a email that the measured size of the bearing is 22 x 36 x 80 mm. I did a search and found a source in the UK called ASAP. Apparently there is a kind of all-rubber bearing made specifically for Beneteaus and Jeanneaus. I can't seem to find a North American supplier.

Have you tried a Jeanneau dealer? When I had to replace the bearing on my arcadia, it was not a big deal finding one. Then again, my prop shaft was replace to a 7/8" when a max prop went on. It should not be that hard to find a proper cutlass bearing.

Thanks Marty. I got a reply from ASAP and they were quite helpful. They deal in Jeanneaus all the time. My contractor measured the ID, OD and length and will order based on that. I'll report on how this turns out for future reference of forum members.
