Hi. Does anyone know where I can get hold of new edge (lip) seals for the mixer taps as fitted to SO35s and probably other SOs? The taps are made by Jado and seal the swivel neck of the tap. There are some other markings on the tap, but none on the seals that I can see. Would appreciate any help. I have had my SO35 from new in 2003 and have been very pleased with it. Eddie

Hi all, I would also be interested in where the o-Rings can be sourced as I have a dripping tap! I am based in New Zealand, so the research is a little harder ! Many thanks, Steve

They aren't O-rings, they are (on mine at least) edge or lip seals with a spiral spring between the two seal edges. There must be someone out there who knows where to get them! Perhaps a general sourcw of seals. Eddie

I had a similar problem in my boat when bought secondhand. Instead of hunting for the correct parts I simply replaced the entire mixer unit by a very similar one sourced at a local DIY store. Cost me about $30. End of problem.

Hi Ted, That's probably the simplest solution, thanks, Steve

You could also try Penguin Engineering. They are specialists in boat and caravan plumbing and carry good spares inventory. I have bought cockpit and heads shower heads to suit my SO32 from them in the past. Their web address is www.penguineng.com/ but they will be closed for the next 10 days due to the Southampton boat show. Of course, if you are going along, have a chat with them and see if they can help. Stand G004. Edit: Just seen your location Steve. You probably won't be at the show, but you could try ringing them to see if they can help.

Hi, have in-laws in the uk, so will press gang them into helping! Thanks for the info. I have applied some plumbers grease to the o rings and it seems to have slowed the drip considerably, but this will only be a temporary fix.
