Downwind roller furling systems or sock

Dear friends

Can anyone give me a hint about gennakers or asymmetrics with roller furling system ? ( such as bamar or c- series roller furling gennaker from northsale or , Furlstrom from elvstrom etc..)

For my SO33i, which one is suitable for easy handling cruising? Furling or sock system for downwind?

We just ordered our first asymmetric for our SO 409 and decided to go with the sock. The distance between the chute tack and the jib furler was just too close together. It might have worked but we did not want to chance having trouble getting the kite down if the wind kicked up unexpectedly. I may look at it again some time in the future if I figure out a way to install a short sprit. Also, setting up the furler each time out was more involved. We did like the general idea of launching and furling from the cockpit however.
