Hi there, I am looking at adding a 2nd set of winches to a 2001 - Jeanneau 34.2 - see photo attached. does anyone know how this is done? is there a kit? Any idea on costs? Obviously, with all the strain that winches take, I'd love to get it installed properly. Aany insights would be great - many thanks chuck buck

You are looking at my ex-boat. (Now belongs to the dealer as pt-ex). Refer to: www.jeanneau-owners.com/hintsandtips/342extrawinches.htmlThe drawing is incorrect - I found the angle needs to be changed. I cannot remember the value now, so suggest you remeasure before getting the plates made up.

I put 2 more on the coach roof. Had to reinforce the gap between the inner and outer skins with some epoxy, otherwise easy.

Obviously, the dodger must be down to use the outer winches. We looked at this configuration for our boat and decided that it wasn't for us.
So our 34.2 is now under sale contract and, hopefully, we'll move on to a SO40 by mid-summer.
