Hello there, got a problem with my 32.2 oddysey, water running down the compression post from the bottom of mast, its not the cable entries as i have sealed these, at the mast base outside there is a collar with the sheaves on for much of the running rigging, its secured to the cabin top by four small bolts passing through the collar into the cabin but coming through the fibre glass, also on top of the compression post there are four slightly bigger bolts,, these are in a plate at the top of post ,its from here the water drips , wierd some times it rains and nothing but other times slight drizzle and it pours in , i think it could be pooling somewhere and when we go aboard it runs in,, just wondered if some one could shed some light on to what ive got to undo, i think that maybe i undo the collar with the sheaves on and seal around bottom of mast, it must have been doing it for years as it has very slightly marked the table ,, thanks to malcom for suggesting i join you guys ,all the best ,alan,

Hi
We have a 36i so the mast base setup may be different and this may not apply. On the 36i all the wires enter the boat at the mast base through a length of 40mm flexible tubing. You need to put some slack in the wires and bend the top of the tube down so that it faces toward the deck. This allows any water running down the wires to drip off at the corner and not run down into the boat. We failed to do this once and had quite a bad leak as a result.
cheers
Barry

The bow thruster is ok, but as I have a waste rank installed it is difficult to identify .. Any thoughts
