The NMEA 2000 network on my NC 1095 has no +12V power. Based on my experience with Jeanneau’s conservative fuse sizing, I suspect a blown fuse. Searching the owner’s manual for “NMEA” finds nothing. Do you know where that fuse is located? Similarly, do you know how the NMEA network gets its power on that boat? I see NMEA 2000 “Tees” with three cables below the hydraulic pump behind the helm console: One of the cables goes to my Garmin chart plotter, and one goes (presumably) to my Garmin VHF radio. I’m not sure where the third goes. The network is properly terminated at its endpoints, but I do not see any sort of power breakout cable or power supply. --Drake Smith

To close out this thread, I traced through all of the bus wiring and have come to the conclusion that the bus was never wired to power. I believe this was a dealer omission, not a factory omission. None of the NMEA 2000 functions have worked on my boat, such as the VHF radio sending AIS data to the chart plotter. I have wired-up power to the bus on my own and now everything is working. Lesson learned: test NMEA 2000 bus operations before taking delivery of a new boat.

Well done, deducing something that isn’t there can be challenging ! And as an added bonus, at least you have the information of where your system is now powered from. I wonder what the commissioning check list looked like ……..

The third should go to your Fusion stereo. On your garmin you can select "view devices" to see what is connected.
There was no power on my NMEA 2000 either...I added it myself and tied it into the electronics on/off switch on the dash so when the electronics switch is off the power to the backbone is off too.
