This is hardly important, but I was on the boat this winter and finally decided to inventory all the parts and tools found in the various lockers from the previous owners. I came across these impressive creatures made from 5mm sst. I'm assuming they were removed at some point in the boat's life but I have no idea what they are. They measure about 125mm with another 50mm long threaded stud welded to the bottom. Any clue as to what these are?

They look like the mounts for the glass splashback behind the sink, maybe yours shattered and was replaced at some stage.

Ah ha! Thanks sitara. You may be exactly right. My DS43 doesn't have the glass splash screen but I've seen pictures of ones that do so I know what it is. Yes, mine simply has a couple of holes in the sink counter where it used to be. That's probably it. I don't think I'll ever replace the glass panel, so what to do with these fine sst fittings.... Something will come to mind!
thanks Dale

Hi Dale,
My boat did not come with a splashback (costcutting??) so I made one out of 10 mm acrylic and a couple of glass shower shelve holders. Not expensive and works well. The glass splashbacks Jeanneau supplied do have a history of exploding at random times. Rob
