I have a 419 SO and I am wondering where to put the pump and fresh water intake.

The fresh water intake needs to located such that it won't suck in air even when the boat is heeled over under sail or while bashing to waves. Sucking in air can cause damage to the high-pressure pumps. The rest of the system can be located where you have space available. Is your watermaker a single block or multiple components?

2008 SO42DS bilge compartment just forward of the engine. Pumps and filters in the port side seatee. Watermaker in the center bilge. 16GPH 12VDC Catalina 300 Spectra system  |
