As many of you may know my talented cousin Barry Perrins aka The Old Seadog is currently in Darwin after having to abandon his Gove to Indonesia voyage due to lack of wind.
He has just produced this amazing video and song. Well worth a listen, you can also download it for free or even buy it for $1.00 to help with his repairs!
Enjoy Malcolm.

White Shadow is a well built but very SLOW 36 foot steel yacht, a Seal design Van de Stadt. He is very tenacious and keeps plodding on despite many set backs. As youcan see from the video, he is indoubtedly very talented as a musician and video blogger. And now an experienced ocean sailor. As well as being slow, his engine, an old Perkins is not reliable, this led to him having to call for assistance on his way into Bundaberg in Queensland. This is that video: He was a lifeboatman in Plymouth for many years, so would not have called for assistance unless it was totally necessary. He now has visa issues as his Australian one expires soon as does the one for Indonesia.I am hoping he will come back to the UK soon to get things more organised. Thanks for the response Trevor. Wishing you a great Christmas and New Year. Malcolm

Good ol’ sea dog, strutting his stuff, and he has obviously invested a bit of time on this , editing out the selfy stick if nothing else!, however, and not being a complete luddite myself, I don’t see the ‘donate funds’ button to send a well deserved shekel or two.
I don’t do Facebook or X (formally known as something else) ……… so how does one send Barry a little seasonal gift?

At the end of most videos, he suggests you support him through Patreon. You can find his page at this link. However, this looks like a recurring subscription, not a single donation.

Avocados with Worcestershire Sauce (Lea and Perrins - there is no substitute!) and cracked black pepper will always bring Barry to mind!
Thanks for posting!

Quite correct Svejk! Unfortunately we are not related to those Perrins! They also were the owners of Royal Worcester Pottery and had a Member of Parliament, by the name of Dyson Perrins. Maybe one day I will inherit! cheers Malcolm
