Hello,
I have a (NC) Merry Fisher 895. I installed diesel heating (it was not installed at the factory) I did the air exhaust in the guest room. but I can't manage to get into the main cabin with the tube. Has anyone installed a heating system (which was not installed at the factory) so that they can take a look (picture) for me where the pipes are routed?

Simon The air duct to the 895 main cabin is routed along the port side within the wood enclosure that’s above the 2nd berth window and then straight through the upper part of the main cabin closet. Capt’n Lynn

Capt’n Lynn,
thanks for the advice. is it made this at the factory or did you install it afterwards? I would like to know if this place is accessible for retrofitting...
I hope that is written understandable - my English is bad
Greetings!

It’s installed from the factory. I included 3 pics. Two show the ducting in the closet. Access here isn’t a problem. The 3rd shows my custom microwave install in the 2nd berth entry. I cut the wood panel opening a bit larger than the microwave. There’s a few inches clearance behind this panel so it allows the microwave to sit on the custom shelf and partially inside the opening. If I removed the microwave you’d see the ducting right behind it. This is the area you’d need to route the ducting accessing it at the other end (aft end) under the aft passenger seat. You might need to cut an opening similar to my microwave. If you did this you could turn it into a shallow storage cabinet or something like that or put a microwave there like I did :.) I can easily slide out the microwave and take a pic if that would be helpful. Or instead of cutting an opening in that panel perhaps you could cut the routing hole in the closet then pull the ducting through. Another option would be to cut an access hole in the horizontal panel where the back of the microwave sits. This would not be visible when standing and looking in from the 2nd berth door But there could be wiring near these areas so proceed with caution.

hi Capt’n Lynn
thanks for the tips and pictures. following your tip (wooden channel in 2nd room) the job was done quickly and without any problems. thank you very much. before that I was looking for a place in the wrong place (under the bed in the 2nd room,....). do you have a 2kw or 4 kw heater?
an interesting solution with a microwave. do you have another picture from another angle?
