Our exhaust manifold has a small hole in it. We had it welded once, and the weld developed a hairline crack. We welded it again, but we think it will eventually fail again, so we would like to replace it.
The part number for this is 128397-44010. The part is listed as No Longer Available on most North American supplier sites.
The part number for the non-YEU version is 128390-44010. These are available.
Does anyone know if the non-YEU part is compatible?
Alternatively, are the European suppliers that may still have one in stock? I have searched online, but didn't find anything.

Could you ask Yanmar? or perhaps you have already tried.
You might try welding again, T.I.G weld using 309 stainless wire, the high nickel content of 309 often copes well with cast iron, success with these things is sometimes down to the quality of the casting so can’t be guaranteed. If you are in luck the hole is partly a casting void, so potentially fixable, but if the casting has corroded a lot, more holes might appear .
Worth another go (unless you have already done the above) you might get a few more years out of it, and keeps you entertained whilst hunting down a new one.

Facebook has an awesome Yanmar discussion board. Drop your question there. You will get an answer from a Yanmar dealer or mechanic.

Worth another go (unless you have already done the above) you might get a few more years out of it, and keeps you entertained whilst hunting down a new one. CB Yanmar America got back to me yesterday, and said that the part is discontinued, and they don't have an alternate part number. It looks like the only alternative is to replace the entire unit including the heat exchanger core and end caps as the -YEU version heat exchanger does not fit the non-YEU version. Those are available, but at a price approaching $3K. This might write the engine off. I think we will try welding it one more time and use a cast iron welding specialist. There are a couple around. Up to now we've been using local welders with experience, but not a specialist in this type of weld. If there are any other European suppliers that we could try in case there is one in stock somewhere please let me know. Bottomline Marine suggested above did not have one. Who is the European distributor?

UK Yanmar importer and stockist is a company called Barrus , sometimes called Barrus Pumps, and I think their HQ , or at least a major distribution centre is in Bicester, Oxfordshire UK
Barrus probably won’t sell you anything Yanmar, as they only deal with distributors holding a trade account, but there is a chance they would know where/who they last sent any stock to, could be worth an email.
customerservices@barrus.co.uk
Other Ideas, if it is a small hole, drill it, tap a thread, and insert a taper threaded plug, you might get further life out of it, or investigate installing a remote heat exchanger removing the original , might be challenging but everything can be done, given time and effort.
Good luck CB

Try HDI Marine: hdimarine.net. They make custom stainless elbows.

I second Tafika II's recommendation. Family owned business based out of Vancouver, WA that strictly makes stainless steel exhaust parts. I don't need a new elbow for my Yanmar yet, but when I do I'll buy mine from them. My local Puget Sound diesel mechanic highly recommends them. Give them a call and see if they can help you out.
