Hi! The deck shower on my 795 keeps breaking, I have replaced it with a Jeanneau part three times now but they keep cracking.
Anybody have this issue and or fix?
Also is there a way to isolate the deck shower from the water pump? When I turn water pump on with broken shower head on it floods the place!!!!
Thanks

Could you specify which part has cracking?
In my case, the plastic part holding the round metalic ring to pull the shower out of its base broke. It was difficult to take it out. Second the lid over the shower unit should always be closed. We broke it with leg contact while coming in and out.
Third the outer layer of the water pipe was swollen like a baloon with air pressure. Shower head was not coming out when you pull.
Our dealer changed the set. All is fine now. We added a piece of string instead of the round ring to make the pull easier.

Hi Guys, I too would appreciate views as to how to isolate the shower supply (for winter frost proofing purposes). I happily left my 8.95 afloat in a marina on the south coast of the UK last winter equipped with a constant dehumidifier and a frost stat activated heater. All appeared to go well until reactivating the water pump, which refused to pressurise and cease running. The rear deck shower fitting had split and water was being pumped into the bilges. Not surprising , as I had done nothing to protect the shower supply from frost damage. Fortunately the same fitting was available in a local chandler. However , the question remains- how to isolate the rear deck supply for the winter? Does anyone know the route of of the rear deck supply / be able to suggest a suitable place to insert a cutoff valve? Logic suggests that it might run beneath the floor and spur into the galley cupboard to provide the sink supply but an informed opinion on the route would be most appreciated!

If it was just the shower handle that was damaged by freezing, you can simply remove it for the winter. I do this after blowing out the lines with compressed air just to make sure water in the handle isn't trapped.

I added a shutoff valve in the line from the pump to the spray nozzle in the cockpit. This is on an 895. It’s located near the pump. For winter I just turn off the valve and drain the water out of the spray nozzle. So I can then use the boat and water system all winter. Funny though this spring we went on a short cruise and when I tried to use the cockpit sprayer it didn’t work. Fortunately I then remembered I had not yet turned it back on :,)

Thanks guys for these responses. As I occasionally use the boat for winter dashes around our deserted winter coast, I think I will try the cutoff valve near the pump, albeit that it is located at the bottom of the bed in the second cabin- junior gymnast with technical abilities required! Nb I believe that the rear deck shower head/tap is manufactured by Osculatti, available ex Force 4.
