Hello everyone! My name is Jarob and I am new to the board and Jeanneau as a whole. I recently moved down to Miami and my condo has a 35ft boat slip and I have decided Jeanneau is the brand now we're deciding which model to pick. Pre-owned is the way we need to go. Please let me know your thoughts on the two boats! We will be spending quite a bit of time on the water in the inter-coastal area with weekend trips to the Bahamas and Keys occasionally.
2018 Leader 33 with 220 Volvo D3 diesels and controls at 230 hours and a Cummins 7.5kw generator or 2019 NC 895 with 200 outboards at 200 hours
Both are about the same price. Im leaning towards the Leader 33 due to the larger cabins for the weekend trips and it maximizes my boat slip for the price. There isn't much information on here that I've come across regarding Leader 33's but the previous owner has really taken care of the boat. How does the Leader 33 perform in open seas?
Any and all insight is greatly appreciated!

Hello,
Good choices to have.
i owned an NC895 with twin 200 yamahas. The engines are flawless and inexpensive to maintain. The boat is very nice but not a great ocean going boat. It does pound in a decent chop. The cabin was very hot (reason why I sold) even with A/C on. if I kept it I would have rerouted the A/C vents to the top cabin and tinted the windows. I traded it in for a leader 9.0 with 250hp outboards since I realized we are day boaters and have never overnighted. The boat is fast and better in a chopl
I never owned a diesel boat but have owned I/Os and I am confident in saying a diesel with i/Os is going to be much more expensive to maintain and if you had a repair it will be very expensive.
They also have NC 1095 and Leaders in 10.5 with outboards.
The Leader 33 is probably in the same price range since people are shying away from I/Os and Volvo diesels.
