I recently purchased a 2 yr old MF 795 Merlin (2 door version) and have a vigorous leak from the fresh water pump outlet fitting. I was amazed to find the water pump plus inlet and outlet plumbing all hidden (and very inaccessible) at the back of the water tank which is itself inserted into a small slot below the deck just behind the wheelhouse - accessed only by a removable small panel in the large under deck locker in the cockpit. The back of the tank being at the far end of that void with little room to reach through and take photos let alone access fittings.
Is everyones tank on a 2 door Marlin 795 set up like this? The plan in the manual indicates that the pump and pipe connectors should be in the underfloor area in the wheelhouse. Do I have a 'special' arrangement to test ingenuity and human flexibility or is this how they are all set up? If your is the same how do you manage to access the back of the tank to change the hidden water pump / filter or repair faulty hose connectors ?
